Responsibilities
The position will provide support to the Operating Room by coordinating and accomplishing all activities, functions and responsibilities related, but not limited to, the anesthesia department under the direction and/or supervision of a registered nurse and/or a physician. Responsibilities include: assisting the licensed anesthesia provider in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia (including medication and medication administration devices), equipment maintenance (including cleaning and sterilization), calibration and testing, and maintenance of records. Assists with other patient care and department activities to contribute to smooth and efficient processes in surgical care.
Surgery Services has 5 OR suites and performs 4,000 cases/year with an average of 150 open heart cases/year. Other services include Neuro, Vascular, Gyn, General, and ENT. The Surgery Services offer the only minimally invasive Robotic Surgery Program in the South Bay for the various urologic and OB/GYN procedures. Provide surgical services for all lines of surgical disciplines except pediatrics.

Two years Anesthesia Technician experience in a hospital setting

Cert .AT or Cert .A.T.T. from American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers

High School Diploma or equivalent
