Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$80.905 - $104.393 - $127.882


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.


What You Will Do

The Director Cardiac/Vascular Services plans, directs and coordinates the development and implementation of programs consistent with the mission of Sharp Healthcare. Responsible for the Strategic planning, business development and growth, and quality improvement plans for the cardiac and vascular programs at SCVMC. Fiscally manages all departments within the allotted resources.

Develops collaborative relationships with medical directors, medical groups, other Sharp HealthCare facilities, the community, and professional organizations to ensure a continuum focus and to enhance the image of Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center and Sharp HealthCare. Cooperates with other directors, cardiac program managers and departments to ensure continued entity and system collaboration and support.

Accountable for coordinating the ongoing development and productivity of designated work units and for maintaining the quality of care within those work units and or programs. Assists the executive management team at SCVMC with capital, operational and budgetary planning. Provides direction to achieve exemplary levels of care and organizational objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree related to healthcare, business, leadership, management, operations or administration.
  • 5 years progressive management, program and business development, experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree related to healthcare, business, leadership, management, operations or administration.
  • 3 years clinical experience in relevant area of responsibility.


Other Qualification Requirements

  • Graduate degree is required upon hire or completed within 12 months of hire date.

Actively completes RFI requests to ensure continued contractual arrangement where necessary within the scope of responsibility.

    Develops self through identification of learning gaps and improves practices/performance.
  • Research
    Actively pursues opportunities to participate in clinical trials, studies and or data registries.
  • Data Management
    Ensures the timely collection, entry, submission of data and continued participation in existing databases and ad hoc focused reviews.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and or lead diverse, multidisciplinary teams; history of successful change implementation, demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact productively with varying levels of personnel and staff.
