The Licensed Medical Laboratory Technician provides the technical knowledge, expertise and judgment required to support the Sharp HealthCare (SHC) mission and scope of laboratory services. Performs waived and moderately complex testing.
Sharp Chula Vista Laboratory is a full service lab that supports the busiest ED in San Diego County per bed. Lab disciplines include Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Pathology, Blood Bank and Outreach. We perform 3.0 million tests annually and are growing our volume in the Outreach market. This position is located in Chula Vista, San Diego County
8-hour variable shift; including every other weekend
This is a Full Time (1.0) Position: 80 hours per 2 week pay period
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education required for California MLT Licensure
Current California MLT licensure
Sufficient technical knowledge and skills to support the needs of the organization
Ability to utilize resources in an organized manner
Effective interpersonal and customer relations skills
Strong professional level of written and oral communication skills necessary to support the efficient and effective transfer of data and information
Ability to work independently and multi-task
