Responsibilities

Summary

The Medical Administrative Assistant will assist patients, staff, and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations to provide high quality care. Represent SharpCare by providing patients with appointments, information, and other operational support services for the assigned department. Provide clinical nursing support to the patients by demonstrating technical expertise and competence, within the established scope of practice. Provide a high level of customer service in a manner consistent with our mission and goals.

This SharpCare locations has several providers, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and an awesome team. It is a busy office, but fun and dynamic. The staff are highly collaborative and supportive of each other. Be a part of an amazing team at SharpCare.

Location

The position is located in Chula Vista, San Diego County. Must be able to float/travel between all five SharpCare offices throughout San Diego.

 

Hours

Full-Time, Days - 8:30 AM - 5:30 AM Float Position

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or Navy Hospital Corps School
  • Current Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited school
  • Current AHA BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Minimum one year Medical Assistant experience in a related clinical area.
  • Medication administration proficiency
  • Keyboarding, computer
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication, flexible, detailed oriented, organized
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications 

  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Hospital Corpsman
