Under the direction of the Office Coordinator, this position provides organizational and information support to the radiation therapy staff and physicians, is a key person for interdepartmental communication, and verifies and obtain information required for the accurate billing and management of patient information. This position also performs a variety of duties to provide for maximum organizational and administration support to the physicians, management, staff, and patients of the radiation oncology department.
This position is assigned to the radiation oncology department in the new Douglas and Nancy Barnhart Cancer Center, the South Bay's newest and most advanced Cancer Center. The center offers the full scope of radiation therapy using the most advanced technology in the South Bay and some of the most advanced technology available, including stereotactic radiosurgery and HDR brachytherapy.

Opened in 2019, the new Hospital Tower at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center is the first new Sharp hospital in San Diego’s South Bay in more than 40 years. The tower includes seven stories, in a 197,000-square-foot hospital.

- 6 operating rooms (including 1 hybrid Operating Room)

- Additional space for support services including a pharmacy and kitchen
On the main floors, patients will receive quality care in large, private rooms; a new-intensive care unit will feature high-tech suites for lifesaving care. In our spacious, new operating rooms, surgeons will perform cutting-edge procedures for cardiology, radiology and more. A versatile hybrid operating room will be able to shift quickly from a catheterization procedure to surgery.
