The bilingual (Spanish & English) Patient Relations Representative serves as a liaison between patients, visitors, volunteers, employees and physicians with the objective of enhancing understanding of hospital policies and services, increasing customer satisfaction, obtaining resolution of concerns, enhancing quality of care and minimizing risks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conducts daily patient rounds, collects data and complies reports used in communicating issues to managers; responds to patient/visitor inquiries and concerns; promotes departmental goal of minimizing risks to patients, visitors and employees. Provides support to the department manager in the investigation of claims and research necessary for resolution of concerns; manages departmental data in a confidential manner; assists in daily office functions according to standard business practices; promotes and adheres to “the Sharp Experience.”
The Patient Relations Department helps ensure that the patient’s experience at the hospital is a good one.If a patient or family members have a question or concern about their hospital stay, they would speak to a staff member from the patient relations department to discuss.

This position is located in the Chula Vista Medical Center, San Diego County
Full time, day shift, Monday through Friday.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Must be fluent in Spanish and English - reading/writing/speaking fluently in both Spanish and English is required.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting and/or minimum of three (3) years in customer service or problem solving.

- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
