The Technical Lab Assistant (TLA) provides the technical knowledge, expertise and judgment required to support the Sharp HealthCare (SHC) mission and scope of laboratory services.
Sharp Chula Vista Laboratory is a full service lab that supports the busiest ED in San Diego County per bed. Lab disciplines include Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Pathology, Blood Bank and Outreach. We perform 3.0 million tests annually and are growing our volume in the Outreach market. This position is located in Chula Vista, San Diego County
Part-Time (.5) Position. 8-hour day shift. Variable start times between 6:00 am - 8:00 am; including everyother weekend.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science; OR three or more years of laboratory experience processing specimens, preparing specimens for analysis, assisting licensed/certified lab staff in performing testing procedures and processing
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
