Responsibilities

Summary
The Administrative Liaison position will provide effective management of operations for the hospital and administration during regular and non-regular business hours.  The Administrative Liaison serves as a conduit to staff, physicians and families to ensure delivery of quality, empathetic care per our guidelines and Planetree philosophy.
The Administrative Liaison Department at Sharp Coronado Hospital and Healthcare Center assists with facilitation of operations on each shift as needed.  The Administrative Liaisons maintain a close interaction with all department staff, leads and managers, physicians, case management, and administration.     
From emergency services to a nationally recognized total joint replacement program, Sharp Coronado Hospital is a 181 bed facility that has a long tradition of providing top- quality, comprehensive health  care.
Sharp Coronado incorporates many personalized aspects into its care philosophy — including patient empowerment, patient and family education, and a physical environment that promotes healing through complementary therapies such as clinical aromatherapy, massage and Healing Touch. Sharp Coronado Hospital is one of the first five hospitals nationally to be designated as a Person-Centered Hospital by Planetree, an organization committed to personalizing, humanizing, and demystifying the hospital experience for patients and their families.

Location
This position is located in Coronado, CA
 
Hours
Part-time; 12-hour shift; night shift; 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM; every other weekend; Temporary 6 month position
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse licensure
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Three to five years of recent clinical nursing experience
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and crisis management skills
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Demonstrates complex problem solving and the use of critical thinking
  • Complies with all regulatory and accreditation standards
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • ACLS certification
  • Two to three years leadership experience
  • Previous House Supervisor experience
