The Imaging Assistant will assist with Imaging Center procedures to include, safe transportation of patients and monitoring of patients during imaging procedures and clerical duties as assigned. Greet and escort patients to Imaging Center rooms with appropriate dress and valuables secured; Assist in transferring patients prior to and following procedures; observe patients during procedures maintaining a safe environment, documenting and/or communicating changes of patient’s condition to nursing and/or imaging staff. Communicates and documents equipment malfunctions. Demonstrates commitment to providing safe, efficient, and quality care to patients. Adheres to all Sharp Healthcare practices and policies.
The Radiology Department at Sharp Coronado Hospital is a unique work setting which uses a wide variety of modalities to service both inpatients and outpatients in the surrounding community. We have as a variety of modalities to include, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, CR/DR, Fluoro, Mammography and DEXA. We are on a PACS system. Our staff provides a collaborative and friendly patient care and work environment. We are always interested in individuals that have a variety of imaging experiences and are willing to adapt that experience by cross training into other areas.

Position located in Coronado, CA, San Diego County
8 hour shifts: variable p.m and night shifts
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association
- Working knowledge of body mechanics for safe transfer of patients and self
- Skill to multi-task and work with changing work priorities
- Positive customer service skills; clear and concise communication skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- One year experience with direct patient care patient care
- Bilingual English/Spanish
