This position is located in Coronado, San Diego County, SharpCare Coronado
           
Hours
Full time: 8-hours variable.
We do have evening patient hours till 7PM -Variable shift 10AM-7PM once a week if needed and a Saturday a month 9-12

 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical office experience required with a strong emphasis in customer service, computer skills, and phones or completion of a medical receptionist or equivalent training program.
  • Medical Terminology knowledge.
 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Completion of a medical receptionist or equivalent training program.

Summary
The Patient Service Representative will represents SharpCare by providing patients with appointments, information and other operational support services for assigned department. Provides a high level of customer service in a manner consistent with our Mission and Goals. Responsible for patient
registration, demographic and insurance updates. Confirms insurance eligibility and obtains authorizations for service. Works with patients to resolve billing and insurance related issues.

Essential Physical Requirements may include:
  • Sitting
  • Lifting up to 10 pounds
  • Push/Pull up to 10 pounds
  • Carrying up to 10 pounds
