As the night Pharmacist, you will provide the professional, clinical and technical knowledge, and skills and expertise required for the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care that supports the mission, values and philosophy of Pharmacy Services and Sharp HealthCare. Pharmacist must be able and willing to work inpatient and long-term care. Must comply with Behavior Standards and have strong teamwork and communication skills. Must be able and willing to accept projects, compound IVs, address Pyxis needs and other technician related work. Sharp Coronado Hospital Pharmacy provides extensive clinical pharmacy services to the hospital’s inpatient and skilled nursing patients. Our goal is to provide the very best patient centered care. The Pharmacy department at Sharp Coronado Hospital provides Pharmacy services for all areas including ICU, medical-surgical, sub-acute and long-term care, rehabilitation therapies and emergency services. We take pride in maintaining a progressive and innovative edge emphasized towards patient safety. We are fully automated with Pyxis® ES, including PARx® barcoding refill system and computerized physician order entry with Cerner® in addition to current implementation of DoseEdge® technology. We provide Pharmacy anti-coagulation, TPN management, renal/hepatic drug monitoring, insulin dosing and pharmacokinetic services and play an active role in the hospital’s Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. Our department prides itself in its ability to work together to accomplish our goals and its sense of family.

This position is located in Coronado, San Diego County.
PART-TIME/ .875 FTE (70 hours pay period)
10 hours night shifts position, weekends as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D
- Current unencumbered CA Pharmacist (RPH) license
- Current AHA BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year PGY1 and/or PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency, or equivalent education and experience in acute care pharmacy practice
- SNF/LTC and Retail experience
- Computer skills highly desirable, especially in the application of word processing, spreadsheet and database
