The Physical Therapist II will work on inpatient, TCU, and Sub-acute Units. Responsibilities include, evaluation and treatment of adults and seniors with predominately orthopedic conditions in inpatient hospital, SNF settings, and Sub-acute settings; develop treatment plans, direct and administer care, provide physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician, recommend adaptive equipment as necessary upon discharge, and follow Medicare guidelines with documentation. Assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities Participation in operational aspects of the department, performance improvement activities within the department, and CQI activities.

Sharp Coronado Hospital’s Rehabilitation Services Department focuses on healing and wellness. We help patients return to their highest level of independence after surgery, stroke or serious illness. Our experienced Rehabilitation Team provides a full spectrum of care, combining medical services, holistic offerings and fitness programs. Many of our services can be enhanced with healing therapies, such as acupuncture and massage. Fitness instructors are clinically trained and adapt different types of exercises for all types of physical disabilities. This position is located in Coronado, CA in San Diego County
- Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy or graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Physical Therapy
- Current CA State Physical Therapy license
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- Two or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Experience in inpatient and/or long term care setting
- Experience with Patient Satisfaction Department Initiatives
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
