This position is located in Coronado, CA in San Diego County
 
Hours
8 hour variable day shift; including every Sunday
This is a Part Time (.8) Position: 64 hours per 2 week pay period
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved and accredited professional Physical Therapy school or program
  • Current CA State Physical Therapy license
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Two or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in skilled nursing and/or long term care setting
  • Experience with Patient Satisfaction Department Initiatives
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills

Summary
The Physical Therapist II will work on inpatient, TCU, and Sub-acute Units. Responsibilities include, evaluation and treatment of adults and seniors with predominately orthopedic conditions in inpatient hospital, SNF settings, and Sub-acute settings; develop treatment plans, direct and administer care, provide physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician, recommend adaptive equipment as necessary upon discharge, and follow Medicare guidelines with documentation.  Assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.  Participation in operational aspects of the department, performance improvement activities within the department, and CQI activities.
