A successful Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for complying with Sharp HealthCare practices, policies and procedures, completes and maintains in all regulatory requirements pertaining to position, maintains excellent patient and customer satisfaction standards complying with entity/department/unit goals.  The RCP will perform quality of care within scope of practiced identified by job responsibilities, will communicate with the healthcare team to expedite patient progress, document care with scope of practice and manage time and resources effectively and contributes to the productive operation of the department.

This position is located in Coronado, San Diego County.
12 hours variable shift (mostly nights) , weekends as needed. 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program required
  • Current unencumbered CA Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
  • Current AHA BLS certification for Healthcare Providers 
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Current one - two (1-2) years experience as an inpatient hospital RCP preferred
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current NRP certification
  • Experience with tracheostomy patients; bronchoscopy assist; PFT, ABG collection and analysis; inhaled medication and oxygen delivery; ECG’s and ventilator management in an active Cardio-Pulmonary department
