Responsibilities

Summary

The Medical Assistant will primarily will be working in the Dermatology department to maintain patient flow, prepare patients for their office visit, administer medications, return patient phone calls and completing quality assurance assignments. Seeking an enthusiastic team-player with a focus on great customer service.

Exciting opportunity for a multi-task oriented individual to work in a progressive, fast-paced medical office with a primary focus on delivering the highest quality of customer service and patient care. This position is located in Sharp Rees-Stealy location in Del Mar. This beautiful new site will have the departments of Obstetrics/Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Medicine and Specialty Medicine.

Hours

Full-time, Days (7:30am to 4:30pm)

Required Skills and Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or Navy Hospital Corps School
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
Minimum one year of current ambulatory/physician office experience
Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment; rooming patients, answer messages and return phone calls
Excellent customer service skills, be flexible, detail-oriented and very organized
Very good communication skills
