Responsibilities

Summary

The Clerical Assistant III will assure that all clerical functions are completed accurately and timely. General functions include filing, pulling records, preparing outpatient/ER records for processing, following up on ER dictation.

Ensure daily report is completed 100%. Audit tracking form is completed / compiled daily.Audit results of missing or incomplete forms are communicated to appropriate staff daily. IDX is updated / annotated completely/appropriately. Monthly compliance statistics are reported.Random audit of process will be completed by management team monthly.Observes patient confidentiality and assures that patient information is correctly released.Abides by all Sharp Healthcare policies and procedures, including HIPPA patient confidentiality. Observes and respects the confidentiality of information in regard to patients, physicians and fellow employees as stated in the policy manual. Follows established guidelines for release of information.

This position is located La Mesa, San Diego County

   

Hours

FT 1.0

The schedule will be variable based on facility needs and will include nights and weekends

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Candidates should be tech savvy, have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to handle difficult customer interactions and provide positively memorable experiences for all encountered

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with medical records preferred

  • High school education required
