Required Skills and Qualifications

- One year current Inpatient Behavioral Health/Pysch RN experience

The Clinical Nurse RN - Weekend is an integral part of the team with the opportunity to practice evidence-based care and utilize the nursing care process in a collaborative environment. This position independently performs the nursing process through individualized assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic, efficient care of patients with overt and subtle needs throughout the continuum of care, according to unit’s standard of care. We are looking for qualified nurses to share our vision of holistic patient care that continually moves toward excellence in all patient and staff outcomes.
46 bed inpatient Behavioral Health department offered psychiatric care to adults and senior adults with psychiatric diagnosis as well as concurrent medical and substance abuse. The department offers opportunity for career advancement and diversity. The department also offers training classes for psychiatric emergencies, psychiatric nursing education, preceptorship and mentorship.
The FOCUS program is a 10 bed unit and part of 46 beds Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. This unit is specially designed for short-term crisis intervention, to help educate patients and families about their illness, and facilitate reintegration back into the community. A multidisciplinary team provides a sage, friendly and professional caring environment. The Sharp Grossmont Behavioral Health team consists of a dedicated staff of experienced professionals who care for the patient from admission through discharge. The team includes nurses, licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage family therapists, psychiatrists, pharmacists and case managers.
