The Health Care Partner - HCP will perform general and terminal cleaning, patient activities, treatments and services. Adhere to aseptic technique and universal precautions. Assists in positioning, ambulation, transporting, transferring and/or discharging patients. Answers patient call lights and/or responds to patient request for assistance per department.
The Post-Anesthesia Care Recovery Room at Sharp Grossmont Hospital has 15-beds specializing in the post-surgical care of patients who have received general or regional anesthesia. We are a very busy department with approximately 650 surgeries per month. We work collaboratively with the Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, and OR staff to ensure the optimal outcome of the patient.

This position is located in La Mesa, San Diego County at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, Surgical Recovery (PACU)
Hours: Per diem, variable 12 hour shits, weekends as needed, on call
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- One year recent Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to transport patients in a safe and efficient manner
- Function effectively in a fast paced environment
- Proficient in the English language in both oral and written
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Current California Nursing Assistant certification
- One year Unit Secretary experience
