The Health Care Partner will function competently as a Nursing Assistant (One Year Acute Hospital Nursing Assistant experience is required) and Unit Clerk. Push, walk, lift and assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and bed mobility. Responsible for electronic order entry and basic computer operations. Function independently with excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize job tasks.
2-East is a 37-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in Oncology, Palliative Care, and End of Life care.  This multi-disciplinary unit provides the opportunity to practice patient and family centered care while utilizing the nursing care process.  We offer the opportunity for career advancement and growth.  This includes paid training and support to obtain the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification and Oncology Training Workshops that prepare the RN to care for this unique specialty population. We enjoy a friendly collaborative environment including diverse staff with experience ranging from new graduates to those who have worked on our unit for over 30 years.

This position is located in La Mesa, San Diego County
Hours: 12 hour Nights; 7 pm - 730 am with every other weekend
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • One year recent Acute Care Nursing Assistant experience - required
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills
  • Must be Independent and flexible 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training program
  • Current California Nursing Assistant certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Once year recent Unit Clerk experience
