The Imaging Specialist I will scrub diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Recognize ECG changes, monitors and records hemodynamic data, circulates the cath lab room during emergency situations, to include CPR, airway monitoring, balloon pump, etc. The Imaging Specialist I will be responsible for performing urgent tasks with and without direct supervision.
Sharp Grossmont Cath Lab is a dynamic and team oriented department. We currently have three Cath Labs that support peripheral vascular cases performed in the main OR. Our staff includes RN's, RT's and CVT's. We have a strong team to support twenty plus physicians, including eight interventional cardiologists. Scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring all procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including diagnostic and interventional procedures, peripheral vascular interventions, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology procedures.
Expanding Cardiac Cath Lab, busiest STEMI center in the state. Our great team of professionals achieves a door to balloon time consistently better than American Heart Association’s benchmark of 90 minutes.

This position is located in La Mesa, CA, San Diego County
12 hour shifts; Full-time position to work Day Shift hours; 6:30 am - 7:00 pm; weekends as needed; call is required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent
- Current BLS for Healthcare providers by the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification
- ARRT certificate
- CRT license and CA State Fluoroscopy permit
- Knowledge of aseptic technique
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; professional demeanor; skill to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to take direction, recognize emergent situations and respond appropriately
- One or more years of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience
