The Imaging Specialist II in CT will work in both CT & General Radiology. Produces high quality exams in compliance with department policy, procedures and guidelines. Demonstrates commitment to providing safe, efficient quality care. Provides pre and post procedure education to patient and family. Verifies physician orders and utilizes RIS correctly to complete all paperwork. Adheres to all Sharp Healthcare practices and policies. Complies with all regulatory requirements including licensing, certification, and other mandatory training within established time frames.
Sharp Grossmont Hospital’s Imaging Services Department provides state-of-the-art imaging services to the East County community. This dynamic and versatile imaging department includes radiology, CT and MRI, ultrasound and PET/CT imaging. Staff employs the most advanced radiology and diagnostic technologies in a busy inpatient environment. The Radiology Team has a commitment to excellence in patient care and work in a collaborative team environment. Employees include licensed technologists, RN’s, imaging assistants and administrative support staff.

This position is located at Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA, San Diego County
- Completion of an accredited radiology technology program or equivalent
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association
- Current CRT and CA Fluoro Cert
- IV certification
- Skill to perform all CT procedures including Coronary CTA and all angio studies
- Skills to organize work with changing priorities
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in team oriented patient care environment
- ARRT in CT or ARRT in CT within 6months
- One or more years current CT experience
- Experience with 64 Slice CT Scanner
- Radiology Information System (RIS) tracking and billing experience
