The Labor and Delivery Technicians (LDRP) will help facilitate a safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room is safe, equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
The unit has a good working relationship with each other and teamwork is essential. The staff is expected to assist each other when needed and to provide a sincerely caring atmosphere for both staff and patients. Communication skills need to be exemplary; Need to have the ability to perform scrub person duties competently for most surgical procedures and have the ability to maintain written records

Our Labor & Delivery Unit provides a homelike setting with 24 private suites performing over 3600 deliveries per year. Our unit is unique in that we are all inclusive-triage, labor and delivery, antepartum care, and post-partum care. There are 4 triage beds, 3 OR suites and 4 recovery beds. As part of our family-centered approach we encourage family members to participate in the birthing experience and support all mothers with their birthing choices. We have an active Unit Practice Council and offer a variety of continuing education. We are looking for flexible, enthusiastic staff to join our team and add to the outstanding patient care we provide.

This position is located in La Mesa, San Diego County
Per Diem - 12 hour - Variable shift (Days and Nights)
Weekends - every other weekend requirement
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Successful completion of an approved program for Operating Room Technicians
- One year scrub experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to assist proficiently with obstetrics and gynecological procedures
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program
- Current surgical technology certification
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
