Under the direction of Imaging Services Manager, the Lead Angio Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Interventional Radiology Department and overseeing Technical personnel who provide imaging support to the Surgical Services Department. Supervises technical and support staff, and provides input to staff evaluations, competencies and orientation for Angio Technologists. Will perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting Physicians as needed. The lead shall provide technical support, expertise and professional judgement required to support the mission and goals of Sharp HealthCare. Sharp Grossmont Hospital’s Imaging Services department provides state-of-the-art imaging services to the East County community. This dynamic and versatile imaging department includes radiology, CT and MRI scanning, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, ultrasound and CT/PET imaging. Staff employs the most advanced radiology and diagnostic technologies in both an inpatient and outpatient environment. The Radiology team has a commitment to excellence in patient care and work in a collaborative team environment. Employees include licensed technologist, RN’s, imaging assistants and administrative support staff.
Sharp Grossmont Hospital is a Comprehensive Stroke Center — the highest designation given by The Joint Commission in association with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. We are the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in San Diego's East County. Sharp Grossmont Hospital provides Interventional Radiology services across multiple modalities including CT, Ultrasound and Angiography. Angiography procedures are performed in one of two single plane cardiovascular suites or in the advanced bi-plane cardiovascular suite. Sharp Grossmont is the only facility within Sharp HealthCare with advanced bi-plane angiography technology capabilities.

8 hour shifts; full-time position to work Day Shift hours; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; weekends as needed; call is required
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent
- CRT and CA Fluoro license
- ARRT in Radiology
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- Able to work independently with little supervision in a fast paced, high volume trauma environment
- Skill to multi-task and work with changing workflow priorities
- Skill to perform all general angio interventional exams and advanced Interventional procedures
- Strong customer service, communication and problem solving skills
- Proven leadership skills to lead and direct a dynamic team of professional staff and technologists
- Proficient computer skills and demonstrated ability to provide and analyze comprehensive data
- Bachelor's Degree
