The Manager NICU manages and oversees day-to-day operations of a 24-bed Level IIIA NICU. Collaborates with the Director and unit leadership team to ensure the implementation of department operational goals aligned with the overall hospital strategic plan with a high focus on attaining recognition as a high reliability organization and MAGNET® designation.  Assures quality of care and compliance with internal, regulatory and accreditation standards.  Assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability of the department which includes approximately 40 FTE's.  Demonstrates and embraces leadership concepts and excellence in customer service.  Clients include patient/family, nursing staff, physicians and organization.

We are dedicated to providing a healing, family-centered environment for women and newborn infants. Our level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has 24-beds allowing for specialized stabilization and management of high-risk and premature infants; recently expanded services include medical management of infants requiring ventilator support.

This position is located in La Mesa
8:00 am -5:00 pm. Evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Current unencumbered California RN license
  • Current BLS for Healthcare providers from the American Heart Association
  • Current NRP certification
  • Three years of Level III NICU experience
  • Three years of management experience
  • Certification in nursing or health care administration from a nationally recognized accrediting organization (ex. RNC-NIC)
    Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing
