Responsibilities

Summary
The Materials Specialist provides for the department, maintenance and purchase of equipment and supplies.  They assure the monitoring of the equipment environment and storage areas. Works independently and with minimal supervision to provide a broad scope of support for the Pulmonary Department. This support can include customer reception; clerical duties; equipment re- processing; basic to intermediate biomedical (pulmonary) repair; preventive maintenance; routine equipment maintenance; order, receive and stock routine supplies within the department and satellite areas; assist respiratory therapists in maintaining appropriate stock levels in all related equipment areas. Maintain inventory records and equipment logs. Maintain diagnostic and equipment processing/cleaning records for the Pulmonary Department.

Location

This position is located in La Mesa, San Diego County.
 
Hours
PER DIEM
10 hours variable shift, weekends as needed.
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • AA Degree  
  • Training in health care environment with focus in Biomed or equipment maintenance
