Summary

This position will assists the provider with application and removal of casts, braces, soft goods, traction and splints within scope of practice; This role will assists with office surgical procedures and assist clinical staff with patient flow during clinic. The Orthopedic Tech II performs duties at an expert level in the operating room and clinic setting under the direction of the Orthopedic Surgeon

Location

This position will be working at different Sharp Rees-Stealy medical offices in San Diego.

 
Hours
Per Diem - Day shift
Monday through Friday (no weekends)
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completion of an orthopedic technology program or other equivalent program (such as military training program)

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers

  • Orthopedic Technologist Certified (OTC) certification

  • Demonstrated experience with application of casts, splints and braces

 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Five years full time experience in a hospital, clinic, or office setting or experience as an independent contractor working with orthopedic patients and with two years
