The Pharmacist will provide the professional, clinical and technical knowledge, and skills and expertise required for the provision of comprehensive pharmaceutical care that supports the mission, values, and philosophy of Pharmacy Services and Sharp HealthCare.
Sharp Central Pharmacy consists of a pharmacy department (Home Infusion, Hospice, Specialty Pharmacy and a Home Health Nursing cost center with approximately 45 employees. We are a provider of medications, supplies, medical equipment and nursing visits to patients in their home.
The goal at Sharp Home Infusion Services is to offer high quality patient care and services that go above and beyond customer expectations.  They employ a team of pharmacists who provide clinical evaluation and management, pharmacy technicians who prepare and package infusion products, a dietitian for nutritional consultations, as well as specially trained home-infusion nurses, all who coordinate care for patients in their homes.
This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County. 
8 hours day variable shift, anytime between 0700 - 1900, no weekends.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
  • Current unencumbered CA Pharmacist license
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers
  • Current Immunization Certification
  • Must meet two of the following three requirements: One year accredited residency in a hospital pharmacy or ambulatory care; Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Certification; or at least three (3) years’ experience directly providing or preferably leading collaborative drug therapy management (CDTM, aka “pharmacy consult”) services. 
  • If considered and no residency, must obtain relevant Board certification within 1-2 years, defined by hiring manager. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, and Access). 
  • Computer skills required, especially in the application of word processing, spreadsheet (including basic analytical functions such as pivot tables), and presentations. 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
  • Expertise with database creation and management preferred.
