Under the direction of a physical therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant II provides physical therapy care to patients with impaired functional mobility as a result of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and/or cardiopulmonary involvement or injury. Participates in CQI activities when requested. The Physical Therapist Assistant II will work in the Physical Therapy Outpatient Clinic - Brier Patch and assist in Inpatient areas as needed

The rehabilitation team consists of a dedicated staff of experienced professionals who care for the patient from admission through discharge. The team includes board-certified rehabilitation physicians; nurses; social workers; physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapists; neurological psychologists; and case managers.

8 hour shifts; Full-time position to work Day Shift; 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; no weekends
Required Skills and Qualifications
- CA Physical Therapist Assistant licensure
- Valid BLS for HealthCare Providers
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy treatment methods
- Ability to direct work of aides and/or student interns
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, self-motivated and attentive to details
- Skill to keep neat, accurate and concise records
- Must work well within a team oriented environment
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of two (2) year Associates degree in PTA Program
