Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One year of acute care nursing assistant experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Telemetry certification
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

The Post Procedure Recovery Tech performs as the coordinator of communication for the unit and assumes primary responsibility for patient flow in and out of the unit. Under the supervision of the RN, this position also supports patient care activities, specific post-procedure care, management of equipment and supplies, order entry, and safe patient transport.
The Post-Anesthesia Care Recovery Room at Sharp Grossmont Hospital has 15-beds specializing in the post-surgical care of patients who have received general or regional anesthesia.  We are a very busy department with approximately 650 surgeries per month.  We work collaboratively with the Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, and OR staff to ensure the optimal outcome of the patient.
