Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
- BLS certification
- One year of professional experience working with psychiatric patients in a clinical, inpatient or hospital setting.

Provide consultation, psychosocial counseling and discharge planning support services to the Sharp Health Care patients and families. Refers to internal resources of hospital that can assist patients and families. Refers basic community resources. Facilitates the timely discharge of patients. Provides refers patient/family to them ongoing assistance after leaving.
The Intensive Treatment Program (ITP) is a 14 bed locked 24-hour care unit and part of 46 beds Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. This unit is designed for adults who are gravely disabled or so impaired in their psychological functioning as to constitute a danger to themselves or others. Highly focused efforts are provided by the Multidisciplinary Team to assess and stabilize persons in a safe, caring and therapeutic environment.
