This position is responsible for advance scheduling of surgical procedures and coordinating essential equipment, supplies and/or personnel requirements for the procedures. Responsible for patient billing of the Labor/Delivery, OR, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) departments.
The Surgery service at Sharp Grossmont Hospital has 12-OR suites and performs all inpatient surgical specialties including Open Heart and Robotic Surgery.  Its Total Joint Replacement program is nationally recognized.   Join our highly skilled and efficient team with the challenge of a fast paced surgical department.

This position is located in La Mesa, San Diego County
Hours: Various 8 hour shifts with weekends as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • One year experience within a hospital and/or medical setting.
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks including busy phone lines
  • Intermediate computer skills and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to perform duties according to specific written and/or verbal instructions and accurately maintain scheduling documentation
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a surgical department
