The Account Executive-Laboratory (LAE) primary function is to develop new clinical and anatomic business sales through existing clientele utilizing all available databases and keeping abreast of business opportunities, technical laboratory developments within Sharp HealthCare, developing positive business relationships.  LAE maintains existing laboratory outreach service business in the surrounding medical community. The LAE is responsible for providing on-going customer service to existing accounts, coordinating marketing activities to existing clients and meeting/exceeding stated goals.

Sharp Laboratories comprised of 5 hospital laboratories, core lab and 15 patient service centers (satellite draw stations).  We have 489 team members who are committed to provide quality service.  Our team is empowered to create innovative ways of providing patient-centered care, such as 'drive-thru phlebotomy', spa-like environment, aromatherapy and healing touch.

This position will travel throughout San Diego County

Full-Time (1.0) Position. 8-hour day shift. Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Science
  • Five years of experience in a clinical and/or anatomic pathology laboratory service sales position, preferably in the San Diego market
  • Valid California Driver’s License - Utilizes reliable transportation and possesses adequate personal insurance coverage.
  • Demonstrates clean driving record in accordance with requirements of the employer DMV pull notice program and Sharp HealthCare Driver Guidelines.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration
  • Solution Selling Process program (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a clinical and/or anatomic pathology laboratory
