The Accounts Receivable Analyst strives to enhance hospital revenue cycle operations by assisting the Hospital Revenue Cycle leadership team in establishing key performance indicator goals, analysis of revenue cycle performance and financial reporting. Mitigates risk to the organization by troubleshooting issues, demonstrating strong problem solving skills, accuracy and strong attention to detail.
This role consults with and assists the Hospital Revenue Cycle team to ensure the ongoing development, monitoring and effectiveness of hospital revenue cycle performance analytics. The Accounts Receivable Analyst maintains a current and comprehensive knowledge of revenue cycle initiatives and regulatory changes and develops monitoring and alerting methodology and tools to support optimum performance.
Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.
This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County
8-hour shift, Monday-Friday variable hours, weekends as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent;
2 years of financial reporting/data analysis experience
Experience resolving accounts receivable inventory using analytical and math skills
Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
Accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Excel, Access, Word and Project
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Experience in a health care organization
Importing/Exporting and interfacing with large files, data warehouse mining and working with databases and with contracts and/or managed care
Experience with patient accounts receivable systems
Data extraction and report writing experience
Experience with Tableau, IBM data warehouse, Oracle or similar
