Responsibilities

Summary
This Admin Liaison/RN House Supervisor position will provide effective management of operations for the hospital and administration during regular and non-regular business hours.
The Administrative Liaison department supports Admission/Discharge/Transfer (ADT) actions within the 158-bed acute psychiatric setting.  The department manages staffing resources, LPS activity, crisis management, and communication with management team.
As the largest behavioral health care provider in San Diego with 158 beds, Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital provides a full range of programs to people of all ages including children, adolescents, adults and seniors challenged by depression, substance abuse or serious mental illness. The hospital’s robust Clinical Research Program has conducted more than 300 clinical trials of investigational medications since its inception in 1995, providing new options and hope for people with mental illness.
Sharp Mesa Vista provides inpatient care and offers outpatient programs throughout the community.
Location
This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County
 
Hours
Per Diem; 12 hour variable shift, weekend as needed 
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of Nursing School
  • Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse licensure
  • Three to five years of clinical nursing experience
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and crisis management skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Demonstrates complex problem solving and the use of critical thinking
  • Complies with all regulatory and accreditation standards

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Two to three years leadership experience
  • Previous House Supervisor experience
