The Associate Physical Therapist, evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy treatment under the prescription of a licensed physician. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Will participate in continuing education to further professional development. Will be available for formal and informal consultation from senior staff therapists.

This position is primarily based at Sharp Rees-Stealy – Downtown – San Diego, CA in San Diego County; This is a float position and must willing to float to other Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Facilities within Central San Diego and the South Bay.
8 hour shifts; Per Diem position to work variable day shift hours; no weekends
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy or equivalent
- CA State license in Physical Therapy
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Proactive problem-solving skills and time management skills
- Effective customer service driven communications skills
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- One year of outpatient Physical Therapist experience
- Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy
- Knowledge of orthopedics, pelvic floor, balance & vestibular
