To provide Clinic patients with prompt, courteous, and professional responses to billing questions, concerns, or inquiries. The Business Service Representative also assures that each billing inquiry is followed through, appropriate adjustments are made and customers are informed.
The Sharp Rees-Stealy Radiology Department provides digital
radiology services at several Sharp Rees-Stealy locations. Staff members are
highly trained and certified to meet all of the patient's health care needs.
Services offered include: diagnostic radiology, mammography and stereotactic
biopsies, ultrasound, CT, MRI, DEXA (bone density), nuclear medicine and
imaging-guided biopsy procedures. Radiology services are provided at 12
Sharp Rees-Stealy sites: Chula Vista, Downtown, El Cajon, Genesee, La Mesa, Mira
Mesa, Otay Ranch, Point Loma, Rancho Bernardo, San Diego, Scripps Ranch and
Location: this position is located in Mira Mesa of San Diego County
Hours: Full time (1.0 FTE) 8:30 am – 5 pm with weekends as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years' experience as a patient registration/ medical billing representative at a health care facility.
Ability to diffuse volatile situations and use good judgement and tact in dealing with patients.
Strong professional level of written and oral communication skills.
Experience with on-line accounts receivable system and typing speed of 50 words per minute.
Previous cashiering experience and computer/data entry knowledge.
Ability to utilize resources in an organized manner.
General knowledge of office procedures.
Effective interpersonal and customer relations skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of two years' experience in medical billing and/or patient accounting in a medical business office.
ICD-9 coding, RVS coding, and CPT coding experience.
