Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):$20.250 - $24.050 - $28.860

What You Will Do
Provide receptionist and clerical support to Rehab Department.
- 1 Year experience within a hospital or medical setting.
- Communication and customer service
Serves as an exemplary customer service role model by demonstration a positive, caring attitude to all patients, guest and visitors.
Ability to answer phone calls, prioritizing during peak periods of volume.
Ability to answer questions accurately over the phone to physicians' offices.
Ability to document accurate phone messages and notification to appropriate personnel.
Ability to provide patients with eye to eye contact and recognition as they approach the reception desk.
Able to communicate information and delays to patients to minimize anxiety and waiting time.
Able to communicate appropriate preparation information to patients and therapists.
- Demonstrates application competency
Ability to accurately function within OnBase.
Ability to accurately schedule with MediWare.
Ability to accurately Pre-admit and admit patients within Centricity.
Ability to perform registration function collecting accurate and complete information.
Able to handle add-on procedures and emergency situations appropriately.
Ability to look up patient information within Cerner.
Ability to assist co-workers with needed help faxing, filing and chart breakdown.
Ability to cover in Sports Medicine and perform duties of Clerical Assistant.
Prepares charts for next day.
- Financial performance
Able to identify and document patient's insurance information.
Ability to take and document co-pays/OOP and accurately enter information in Centricity.
Prepares daily batches (co-pays and co-insurances collected) prior to leaving for the day.
Accurately scan documents into FOS avoiding mixing up patient information.
Able to pre-admit patients with zero occurrence of duplicate registration.
- Meeting participation
Attends all required mandatory in services and department informal meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to courteously accommodate angry or frustrated customers.
- Ability to use computer keyboard-manual dexterity.
- Visual acuity.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to calmly handle 50-100 telephone or personal contacts daily. Ability to calmly handle 80-1000 telephone calls.
