The position is remote after a 3 month period at the facility.
8 hour day shift; 7am-3:30pm
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Formal training in ICD-10CM and CPT
- Two-three years of hospital coding experience
- Ability to use 3M coding software
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- RHIT, CCS or CPC-H certification
- Cerner skills
The Clinical Coding Specialist II’s key responsibilities is to assign ICD-10CM and CPT codes for outpatient surgery cases. Opportunity to grow within the department and learn to code more complex cases and move into a higher coding position.
Coding functions include using 3M HDM with Computerized Assisted Coding. We utilize Cerner EMR for coding purposes with all paper documents being scanned and available electronically. Opportunity to work remotely after 3 months working at the facility.
