The Clinical Nurse RN is an integral part of the team with the opportunity to practice evidence-based care and utilize the nursing care process in a collaborative environment. This position independently performs the nursing process through individualized assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic, efficient care of patients with overt and subtle needs throughout the continuum of care, according to unit’s standard of care. We are looking for qualified nurses to share our vision of holistic patient care that continually moves toward excellence in all patient and staff outcomes.
4-West is a 32-bed provides Progressive Care Unit level of care to the Neuro and Trauma patient populations. Sharp Memorial Hospital has been designated as a San Diego County, Level 2 Trauma Center and received the American College of Surgeons Verification of Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient. Our Leadership team, that includes a unit-based Clinical Nurse Specialist, takes pride in promoting clinical competence by encouraging certification and supporting staff in advancing their degree. We are looking for dynamic health care professionals that will provide only the highest quality, efficiency, and compassionate nursing care as part of our inter-professional healthcare team.
This dynamic fast paced environment cares for patients across the healthcare continuum. Patient populations include Neurological and Trauma related illnesses and injuries. The multidisciplinary team provides patient and person centered care with the goal to individualize and personalize the entire hospital experience. This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County
Sharp employees are eligible for a $1000 employee referral bonus
Relocation bonus available to eligible candidates
Night shift; Full-time (0.9); 12-hour shifts: 1900 - 0730; every other weekend
- Graduate of RN Nursing School/Program
- Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse license
- Current AHA BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
- One year recent pertinent clinical experience
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
- Neuro and/or Trauma RN Acute Care and/or PCU patient care experience
