The Clinical Psychologist I provides the following primary services: 1) Supports the activities of Sharp HealthCare’s Outcomes Research Institute by facilitating interdisciplinary research on health care practices, in order to identify and promote quality patient care across the health care community. 2) Education and supervision of activities related to the integration of medical and behavioral health services. 3) Assessment, consultation, and psychosocial counseling to the Sharp HealthCare customer base, by mobilizing the personal, social and environmental resources of patients to receive maximum benefits of medical care.

Our team has transplanted more than 4,000 kidneys.A successful transplant requires many experts. Our program includes a team of specialists who provide the highest quality care to all patients and we are currently recruiting for a clinical psychologist as a welcomed addition to our program. Transplant surgeons, kidney doctors (nephrologists) and coordinators work together with social workers, registered dietitians and financial coordinators to deliver the extraordinary level of care we call The Sharp Experience.

This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego
8-hour day shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; including weekends as needed
This is a Full-Time (1.0) Position: 80 hours per 2 week pay period
Required Skills and Qualifications
- PhD or PsyD from an APA accredited college or university, and completion of an APA accredited internship
- Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Current California Licensed Clinical Psychologist
- Minimum one year of experience with providing psychological services for acute care medical hospital patients
- Minimum one year of experience in the conduct and evaluation of health system outcomes research
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
