The Clinical Trials Specialist will be responsible for the running of the trial under the guidance of the Principle investigator. They will be responsible for recruiting subjects, performing rating scales, ensuring all training is completed, entering visit information into EDC, communicating with the study team and study sponsor as required and working with PI to ensure subjects safety and that all protocol procedures are performed according to the protocol.

The hospital’s robust Clinical Research Program has conducted more than 250 clinical trials of investigational medications since its inception in 1963, providing new options and hope for people with mental illness. Sharp Mesa Vista provides inpatient care and offer outpatient programs throughout the community.
This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County
8-hour day shift: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; including weekends as needed
This is a Full-Time (1.0) Position: 80 hours per 2 week pay period
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. degree in health related field
- Three to five years research experience. In lieu of research experience, a Master’s degree or PhD/PsyD will be considered.
- Medical and/or psychiatric background
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with Alzheimer’s and psychiatric patients
- Experience with psychiatric and Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials
- Experience with psychiatric and Alzheimer’s rating scales
- Experience with recruiting subjects for clinical trials
