The Clinical Trials Specialist will ensure that all clinical trials are conducted in accordance with the protocol requirements, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) guidance and regulations. The Clinical Trials Specialist will demonstrate a commitment to providing quality service, support and responsiveness to research subjects, physician investigators, trial sponsors, hospital staffs (clinical and administrative) and contract research organizations (CROs) as applicable.
The Clinical Trials Specialist is part of the Oncology Research Department at Sharp Memorial Hospital. The Oncology Research Department at Sharp Healthcare is responsible, along with physician investigators, for the conduct of cancer clinical trials as well as the care of the patients enrolled in them. The department works as a team to meet patient needs, regulatory requirements, data collection and enrollment goals in support of the research being conducted.

Position is located in Sharp Memorial Hospital, San Diego County
Day Shift; Full time; 8 hour shift; shift start and end times may vary; scheduling including weekend and on call to be discussed during the interview.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. degree in health related field
- Minimum three years research experience required.
- In lieu of research experience, a Masters degree will be considered
- Medical background required
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Medical Oncology clinical research current or recent experience
