This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County.
8 hour day shift
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts and/or Science degree in education, health sciences or related filed.
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience as an education coordinator or related field.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and data entry, must work well with physicians and system leaders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, must adapt to flexible work schedules and changing job priorities, possessing excellent organization, planning, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.

The CME Associate develops and implements continuing medical education (CME) and continuing pharmacy education (CPE) activities to include outcomes measurement, online modules, faculty management, soliciting funds, grant writing, hotel contracting, and marketing. The CME Coordinator will provide CME/CPE consultation to physicians, pharmacists and system leaders. Respond promptly and positively to requests made by physicians, service lines, and Clinical Effectiveness division and CME/CPE priorities. Ensure compliance with ACCME and ACPE criteria. Keep abreast of medical educational directions and adult learning methodologies.
System CME is responsible for developing, implementing and measuring outcomes for CME/CPE activities for physicians and pharmacists under ACCME and ACPE accreditations. Staff includes one Medical Director, one Manager, and four Coordinators. Department is under the Division of Clinical Effectiveness.
Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.
