The Director Marketing and Communication is responsible for developing and directing Sharp Rees-Stealy's (SRS) strategic integrated marketing communications initiatives, in collaboration with the SRS Vice President of Business Development and Patient Engagement. Developing marketing communications strategies and tactics to support SRS business objectives. Seeking opportunities to build brand awareness and positively position SRS in the hearts and minds of consumers. Responsible for developing strategies to promote SRS doctors, programs and services, with special emphasis on sites and services targeted for growth including but not limited to, the senior service line, Center for Health Management, occupational health, urgent care and pharmacy. 

Primary point of contact with SRS CEO on communications and messaging initiatives. Works daily with SRS Vice Presidents, SRSMG chief medical officer, president and physician leaders. Participates on the SRS administrative forum leadership group and serves as first point of contact for SRS physicians, leaders and team members. Determines if marketing communications requests meet the organization's marketing objectives, including alignment with SRS strategic plan and measurable ROI. Develops and directs execution of actionable plans and strategies, results measurement and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years  of experience in Marketing experience, ideally in the health care field
  • Proven multidisciplinary marketing communications experience


Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business or a related field required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of successful tactics across all marketing and communications channels including advertising, direct mail, print collateral, media relations, public affairs, community relations, events, internal communications, digital and all forms of electronic communications, employee reward and recognition, consumer research and special projects as needed. 
  • Directs the sales team responsible for promoting SRS programs and services, particularly occupational medicine services, to employers, brokers, associations and third-party administrators.
  • Sets and monitors goals to ensure we are attracting and retaining occupational medicine business.
  • Monitors and reports industry trends, provides competitive overviews and makes strategic recommendations accordingly to support SRS goals and objectives. 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Must be an independent self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, leaders and entity and system leaders and staff members.

Compensation and Benefits:

The position provides a very competitive compensation, including opportunity to participate in a management bonus incentive program along with a generous benefit package.
