This position is located in Downtown, San Diego County
8 hour day shift
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Facilities Planning, Engineering, Construction Management, or other related curricula.
  • Minimum five (5) years of direct experience in similar position, such as Facilities Planning position.
  • 2-D AutoCAD experience.
  • Technical knowledge of healthcare facilities planning, the architectural and engineering design process, construction documents, cost estimating, healthcare requirements as it relates to the design/construction process, building codes relating to medical office facilities, project development and project analysis, data analysis and CAFM software implementation and uses.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data and write accurate reports.
  • Ability to space plan medical office spaces for reconfigurations and moves.
  • Ability to work with outside vendors to implement and maintain CAFM software.
  • Ability to project manage small scale renovation projects.
  • Ability to run effective meetings so that all participants are kept informed and held accountable for their responsibilities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with various personalities within the Sharp HealthCare system.
  • Must be able to develop a means to keep others informed of progress on project and items that need a decision.
  • Effective and concise written communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Master’s degree desirable. 

The Facilities Planner/Analyst assists with the implementation and ongoing activities associated with Sharp Rees-Stealy’s (SRS) Facilities Management (CAFM) Software and other analytical tools as needed.  The incumbent administers facilities space planning and manages small scale renovation for SRS.
The Sharp-Rees-Stealy Facilities department provides strategic planning, design and coordination for medical office construction and improvement projects.  In addition, it is also responsible for central plant services, facility and bio-medical engineering.  The department employs 17 staff members that support over 25 sites throughout San Diego county.
With 450 primary and specialty care physicians providing care at 21 facilities throughout the region, Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is one of the largest, most comprehensive medical groups in San Diego County, and is recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction and clinical care.
