NoThis is a full time position with a hybrid schedule ( 3 days onsite and 2 days remote). Located in San Diego County (Kearny Mesa).
The Position:
The financial analyst position is responsible for supporting financial operations for the Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Clinics; including invoice processing, statistical reporting, productivity reporting, Medical Group payroll reporting, and maintaining the cost center manager hierarchy. The financial analyst needs to be very detail oriented, have strong skills in Excel, and be a strong communicator. This position reports to the Manager of Finance, who oversees a department of seven analysts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Biweekly and monthly reporting of statistics
- Productivity reporting
- Reporting of provider metrics such as volume, access and productivity
- Reporting of provider utilization
- Enhancement projects to improve departmental and inter-departmental processes
- Supporting Medical Group payroll through reporting
- Supporting accounts payable functions such as invoice review and approvals
- Managing primary care provider enrollee panels
- Maintaining system security and cost center manager hierarchy
- Ad hoc reporting and projects as assigned

The Sharp Rees-Stealy Finance department provides strategic and operational financial management, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, productivity reporting, and other financial services to the Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group, and the Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Centers (foundation-model clinics).
Sharp Rees-Stealy provides services at 19 clinic locations throughout San Diego County, with over 580 primary care, medical specialty, and surgical specialty physicians, and advanced practice providers, representing virtually every field of medicine. Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is one of the largest, most comprehensive medical groups in San Diego County, and is recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction and clinical care. Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of three to five years in financial operations, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large sets of data
- Detail oriented with experience with accuracy-sensitive reporting
- Advanced Excel experience and experience with other Microsoft Office products
- Proven process improvement experience, either leveraging data manipulation tools or implementing other efficiencies
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with peers, leadership and physicians within the medical group
- Budgeting, accounting and financial reporting experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Healthcare financial operations experience in clinic or other provider setting
- Experience presenting to leadership and supporting leadership with financial operations
- Experience with EPSi or Strata budgeting software
- Experience with Lawson or Workday ERP systems
- Experience with SQL or other report writing tool
- Experience with GE/IDX
- Experience with Monarch
