Summary

Maintain the IT Risk Management Program by: (1) performing assessments of risk to Sharp Healthcare’s data and computing assets; (2) supporting development of, and compliance with, governance, IT policies and procedures required to comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices; (3) supporting development of reasonable, meaningful, and actionable technical and administrative controls, and 4) supporting processes to detect, track and report IT risk.

Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.

Location:

This position is located in Kearny Mesa, area of San Diego.  Work from home is preferred within the State of California.

 

Hours:

8-hour shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum two (2) years of general governance, risk and compliance experience with at least one (1) year of direct experience in information technology systems supporting a risk management program in a complex environment

  • Experience supporting moderately complex business workflows in coordination with multiple stakeholders

  • Operational knowledge of: information systems industry and best practices in network, application and hardware platform security; and audit and assessment methodologies, procedures and best practices that relate to information networks, systems, and applications 

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or Information Technology or other related field

  • Understanding of the legal, ethical, managerial and organizational principles and standards for acute care hospitals and multi-facility health systems in California

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
