Responsibilities
Summary
The Health Care Assistant performs as the coordinator of communication for the unit and assumes primary responsibility for medical record management.  Facilitates patient data management through transcription, order entry, and documentation. Supports best use of resources in management of equipment, supplies, and other department resources.

Location
This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County.
 
Hours
 Full-Time, 12- Hour Day Shift; 7:00am- 7:30pm; Every Other Weekend Coverage

Required Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Competent with the English Language (written and spoken).
  • AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS)
 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • One year's experience as Unit clerk/secretary and one year's experience nursing assistance experience in acute care or geriatric setting preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
