This is a working position, a mixed of online and offline shifts. As the Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will assist the Pharmacy Director in providing pharmaceutical services that support the mission, values and philosophy of Pharmacy Services and Sharp HealthCare. You will work in partnership with the Leadership team in support of day-to-day operations and supervises the pharmacy technician staff. Is responsible for ongoing performance improvement projects. Provides operational, developmental, and quality assurance / improvement support for technician programs.
The Pharmacy is a 24-hour, seven days a week operation with a decentralized distribution model with PYXIS profile. Sharp Memorial Hospital's Pharmacy offers an excellent clinical program which allows for a very "hands on" approach for our Pharmacists. Our program includes Pharmacokinetics, Antibiotic Surveillance, Nutritional Support, Anti-coagulation, Renal Target and Pain Management. We offer certification in all these areas.

This position is located in Serra Mesa, San Diego County
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current unencumbered CA Pharmacy Technician license
Minimum of three (3) years pharmacy technician experience in a hospital pharmacy environment or equivalent healthcare setting required.
At least one (1) year of experience in a leadership role preferred.
Must have experience building positive relationships with colleagues and
encourage a cohesive team environment.
Intermediate computer skills are preferred, especially in the application of pharmacy computer systems (e.g. Carecast, Pyxis, PDX), word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
