Responsibilities

Summary

The Lead RN position assists patients, staff and physicians as needed to maintain a high level of efficiency of operations and customer service while providing quality care to a designated patient population. Assists the Patient Care Manager with the leadership of the Nursing and Patient Service 

Representative Staff.

The Sharp Rees-Stealy Department of Internal Medicine consists of 53 providers on our staff to help meet the needs of our patients and is located at 11 of our Sharp Rees-Stealy medical clinics in San Diego (Carmel Valley/Del Mar, Chula Vista, Downtown San Diego, El Cajon, Genesee, La Mesa, Sorrento Mesa, Otay Ranch, Point Loma, Rancho Bernardo and Scripps Ranch).

With 450 primary and specialty care physicians providing care at 21 facilities throughout the region, Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is one of the largest, most comprehensive medical groups in San Diego County, and is recognized for excellence in patient satisfaction and clinical care. For patient convenience and improved coordination of care, Sharp Rees-Stealy offers services like laboratory, radiology, physical therapy and urgent care within each clinic or nearby.

Location
This position is located in Point Loma, San Diego County
 
Hours
8-hour shift: 8:00am-5:00pm, no weekends 
 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education as required by the California Board of Nursing
  • Current unencumbered California RN license
  • Current CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Minimum three (3) years RN work experience
  • Leadership experience
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Previous Medical/Surgical and/or varied ambulatory care clinical experience 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
